WONDERFUL AND ELEGANT VICTORIAN BRIGHT CUT BLACK SILVER PLATE CLARET / DECANTER SET WITH TWO GOBLETS BY JAMES W. TUFTS
We are pleased to offer an Elegant Black Silver Plate (Silverplate) Victorian Claret / Decanter Set from our 40 Year Collection.  This Set was manufactured by
the well renowned and talented James W. Tufts Company, established in 1875, in Boston.
This beautiful Set is Quadruple plate Pattern #2345.  The amazing and high quality Set produced by James W. Tufts was always sought out by collectors.  The James W. Tufts Co. always produced fabulously detailed product, please see photos.
This TRUELY STRIKING Set is plated in Victorian Black Silver which is a technique that accentuates the spectacular bright cut etched design adorning an impressive Decanter / Claret and two matching Goblets.
    Please note the
gorgeous and ornate handle simple but elegant design, Decanter neck work of art, and Decanter body's bright cut etched flowers, vines and leaves.   The Goblets are similarly decorated.  Our description and photos don't do this set justice.  It is absolutely gorgeous!
This listing for the Decanter Set only.  Any additional items showing in this listing is for reference only, or they may be available in another listing.
    The approximate Measurements
    Decanter - 10 1/2" Tall and 5 1/2" Wide
    The Goblets -  5 1/2" Tall
Beside the normal wear due to age and use, the pre-owned Set is in a well maintained and used condition.  The Set is very clean with some minor surface marks or scratches not at all noticeable.  As we inspect the Set closely, we noted a very small pinpoint ding and small slight dimple to the Decanter Body that will not detract from its beauty or desired usage.
Please note:  Victorian Black Silver pieces are rare.  This Set is being offered in the unpolished as received condition, the black silver plate with bright cut etched design are gorgeous as is.  Polishing this set will destroy its beauty, and could considerably impact its value.
We do our best to describe the item's condition and provide visual photos.  We also offer a very conservative description of the condition to make sure we don't overlook any minor condition to ensure  you are pleasantly surprised/impressed to see the item in person, but please remember these items are 100 years old or older antiques.  So don't expect the item to be in perfect condition, unless the listing states that.
If you have any questions or need additional photos or information, please ask prior to bidding/buying.
