US MODEL 1860 STAFF & FIELD OFFICER SWORD W/ SCABBARD & BELT/BUCKLE-VERY NICE

Very good condition original US Model 1860 Staff & Field Officer sword that is marked “HORSTMANN PHILADELPHIA” on the left side of the blade and has a “gothic letter in shield” marking on the right ricasso. 29” blade has nice original bright finish with a little gray at the base. Brass hilt has original finish and nice looking patina. Grip has nice leather covering and tight wire wrap. Fitted in correct original scabbard that has nice original bright plated finish with some scattered flaking, no dents. Also complete with hangers and leather belt that is soft and supple with some normal wear. Buckle is an unusual fraternal type with a skull. Nice sword rig for your collection.
