US MODEL 1812 STARR CAVALRY SABER-ORIGINAL-VERY GOOD CONDITION

Description

Very good condition original US Model 1812 Starr cavalry saber that is marked “P / HHP / N. STARR” on the right ricasso. 34” blade has original bright finish with some gray and brown patina. Still has original leather washer at the base. Iron hilt has brown patina. Leather covered grip shows some wear and a few chips. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has original black finish showing some normal wear and a few dents. Complete with leather hangers, uncertain if these are period original. A hard to find Starr M1812 saber that will make a fine addition to a collection.
