    Description

Post US Civil War Model 1860 Staff & Field Sword with Scabbard. Ricasso is faintly marked "The M.C. Lilley Co" and there is a "Germany" stamp also. The guard, grip, and pommel cap are all gone. The etched blade is unsharpened, has an even dark patina, has some pitting with light surface rust, and the last 4 1/2" has some minor little bends. The scabbard is solid with no dents, an even dark patina, does have a slight bend to it, and has pitting with some surface rust scattered throughout. Length of the blade measures 28 1/8" (11/16" wide x 1/8" thick), length of the sword is 33 3/4", and overall in the scabbard it is 34 5/8". The tang alone is 5 9/16".
