US Civil War Model 1860 Staff & Field Sword w/Scabbard - Etched Blade

Description

Post US Civil War Model 1860 Staff & Field Sword with Scabbard. Ricasso is marked but is worn and illegible. The grip is tight but the guard wiggles. The leather grip is 85% complete and the twisted wire is gone. The clamshell has the typical eagle with flags on it. The faintly etched blade is unsharpened, the tip is a little sharp, straight, no nicks, and has age spots scattered throughout. The scabbard is solid, it was painted silver chrome at some point (the mounts and drag have brass colored paint on them), there is pitting throughout under the paint. The washer is missing. Length of the blade measures 30"
(3/4" wide x 3/16" thick)
, length of the sword is 35 5/8", and overall in the scabbard it is 36 7/8".
