    US Civil War D-Guard Bowie Knife. L
    ooks unmarked because of the wear
    .
    The iron guard and wood grip are tight.
    The blade is in relic condition, it
    is straight, sharpened (there are old sharpening marks under the pitting but there are also newer sharpening marks on top of the pitting, overall it is sharp), small nicks along the edges, has an even darkened patina with pitting and some light surface rust throughout.
    Length of the blade is 14 11/16" (1 5/8" wide and 3/32" thick spine), and overall it is 19 9/16".
