    Description

    This massive 14" long Bowie Knife is a exact copy of the original Bowie carried by Confederate Soldier J. M. McKinney who was a member of the famous Hood's Texas Brigade.  The knife has a overall 9" double edge spearpoint blade with a heavy recurved iron guard and a round bone handle and a brass pommel cap.
    The iron guard, handle and hcap are well made and are tight with no looseness.
    The heavy leather sheath has a reinforced tip and throat.  The knife sits loosley in the sheath for quick draw.   This is a high quality made replica.  A heavy dark brown leather scabbard is included.  I am not sure where this is made but I know these are used during reenactments so detail is critical.  The quality of this item is outstanding.  The seller is not responsible for injury caused by or from this item.  Must be of legal age to purchase.  All applicable laws apply.  Buy from a Veteran.
