The Patch:
This Auction is for 1 WWII Vintage Seventh Army patch with a white back.
This patch has been used and is in good condition.  There is some scrapbook residue on the back.  It has a very nice white backing.  This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic.
The History:  The Seventh Army was the first U.S. Field Army to see combat in World War II.  Its first commander was General George S. Patton and its first action came when it invaded
Southern Sicily
.  The Seventh was famous for its drive northwest across
Sicily
then east to capture
Messina
.  The Army remained relatively inactive in
Palermo
,
Sicily
until the Seventh Invaded Southern France in August of 1944.  They attacked across Southern France and eventually reached the
Rhine
River
at
Strasbourg
.  During the Bulge, the Seventh took over part of the Third Army’s area so they could attack north.  The Seventh was responsible for reducing the Colmar Pocket, and capturing the cities of
Nuremberg
, and
Munich
.  They crossed the
Brenner Pass
and Made contact with the Fifth Army before the war ended.

I try not to post items with excessive wear because I want you to get good quality items. I try to post good photos of each item but they get shrunk down when they appear in the listing.
