Pre-Civil War Militia Infantry Officers Sword Saber w/Brass Scabbard

Description

Civil War Militia Infantry Officers Sword with Brass Scabbard. The ricasso has a mark but is illegible. The grip, guard and eagle head pommel are all a little loose. The grip is solid with just a few small chips at the top and bottom edges. The blued etched blade is straight, unsharpened, a few minor nicks, it has some age spots scattered throughout, and somebody has scratched "FHG" on the spine. The partial brass scabbard is solid with some dents/dings, and is missing about the last 10 1/2". Washer is intact. Length of the blade is 29 7/8" (13/16" wide and 1/4" thick), and the sword is 34 7/8".
