Pre-Civil War M1842 Yataghan Chassepot Sword Bayonet with Scabbard-German Made

Model 1842 Yataghan Chassepot Sword Bayonet with Scabbard.
Ricasso is marked with the remnants of a beehive stamp which stands for Samuel Hoppe. The
crossguard is marked "818", no other markings anywhere. The brass guard is solid and shows typical wear. The blade is unsharpened, no nicks, age spots scattered throughout, the last 2" by the tip has pitting and it looks like the last 1/16" of the tip is gone. Lock button is frozen. The scabbard is solid with no dents, there is some pitting with minor surface rust here and there. Length of the blade measures 23" (1 3/16" wide x 7/16" thick), the bayonet is 27 7/8", and overall in the scabbard it is 28 1/2". The muzzle hole is 29/32".
