Pictured is a very nice original WWII 517th Parachute Infantry Regiment Pocket Patch.  The patch measures approx. 4 1/4" tall byt 3" wide.  It is embroidered on twill with a gauze backing. It does not
fluoresce
/ glow under a black light.  This is the varitation that has pink flames and numbers, but the patch is dirty.  This patch came from a seamstress shop that was in operation during WWII at Fort Benning in Columbus GA.  A friend bought it back in the 1960's / 70's.  It was stapled to a patch board.  WWII, PIR, Parachute Infantry Regiment, 517th, Airborne, Southern France, 17th Airborne, 82nd, 101st.
