NON-REGULATION FOOT OFFICERS SWORD - PRISTINE ORIGINAL

Description

This original  brass mounted Civil War period foot officers sword is in absolute pristine condition.  It has a mirror bright blade with crisp engraving and near 100% of its original frosting in the decorative panels.  The blade was imported from Solingen Germany.  The mountings and scabbard are of U.S. manufacture most likely a product of Horstmann.  They were known to import Solingen blades.  The sharkskin grip is 100% with all of its tightly wound triple brass wire wrap.  The scabbard is brass mounted and has 99% of its beautiful shiny brown lacquered finish. The scabbard does have a few  small dark spots here and there which are hardly noticeable in its overall appearance.  I bought this sword many years ago from a dealer friend in Puget Sound,  Washington.  This sword is absolutely beautiful - you won't be disappointed.   See photos for best idea of condition.  Questions welcomed.
