Mu-Tron Phasor III Vintage Silver Optical Analog Phase Guitar Effects Pedal
So many artists and recordings have used the Phasor II over the years. Unfortunately they are hard to come by, most likely need servicing and are clunky.
The Phasor III not only replicates the creamy tones of the Phasor II, but it also packs a bunch of features of its own. Such as: 4 and 6 stage phasing, expression pedal control and a modular optical design all in a compact 9 volt DC package.
Modernized version of the classic Mu-Tron Phasor II
The Mu-Tron Phasor III is the son of the classic Mu-Tron Phasor II. While Mu-Tron designed it to contain all of the great tone of the Phasor II, they also wanted to make sure it would stand up to features found in other modern Phaser pedals. The big difference is that most modern phasers are NOT optical and are op-amp or digital based. This means that they are generally noisy and need blend and/or tone knobs to preserve your tone. The Phasor III is just right.
Pedalboard-Friendly Design Made in the USA
Unlike the vintage Phasor II, the Phasor III does not need to be plugged into the wall, nor does it take up half of your pedalboard. The Phasor III employs the same circuit as the Phasor II but is powered by our patented "Medical-Grade" power rail internally and not a clunky transformer. It only draws 120 mA and will work with any 9V DC center negative power adapter. Mu-Tron even designed a 9V portable battery pack called the PS-2 Battery Buddy that will power many 9V pedals and your 5V mobile devices as well.
Modernized features make it even better
In addition to re-creating the creamy phase of the Phasor II, the Phasor III also offers a 4 stage mode with a fixed feedback to get the classic rock tones that work well with overdrive and distortion harmonics. Finally, there is a control voltage input that will allow for real-time control of Rate or Depth to give the musician utmost expression and “Leslie Speaker” type of sounds. The pedal also supports control voltage out so that 2 or more Phasor III pedals can be linked to offer BiPhase and TriPhase types of applications. keyboards and horns.
Features:
Feedback controls the level of phase feedback in 6 stage mode
Rate controls speed of phase in 4 and 6 stage modes
Depth controls intensity of phase effect
Shape selects square or sine wave
CV maybe assigned to rate, depth or none
Stage (4/6) determines 4 or 6 stages of phasing
