    This lot consists of two old checks, both dated
    June 10, 1968,
    from

    Leonard Oil Company
    ,
    in Winston-Salem,
    Forsyth County, North Carolina.

    he Leonard Oil Company was a Texaco
    distributor.
    The
    checks are signed by two men:
    (1)
    Walter Huey Leonard
    (1918-2012), who was
    the President of the
    Leonard Oil Company,
    and who served in the Navy during WWII.
    (2)
    Henry Foil Craver
    (1921-2011), who was
    the Secretary-Treasurer of the company,
    and who served
    three years in the Navy
    as an inspector in an aircraft factory.
