    Description

Large D guard knife that appears to have a blade made from an early sword. Blade has shallow fuller that expands upwards to a large flat spine, similar to c. 1812 and similar blades. Remainder of blade is ground into a tang that ends in a crudely formed threaded end with a nut. D guard is made from sheet iron that shows many marks made from hammer forging. Handle is made from antler, not bone. Over all length is 21 3/4 inches. Blade is 15 inches long, 1 1/2 wide and very sharp. Only active rust noted is the the last 1/4 inch of the blade tip. Actually very comfortable in the hand. please see the pictures for the description and ask any questions before bidding. Lowered price.
