LARGE Antique Victorian Egyptian Revival Silver Plate TILTING WATER PITCHER +Cup
This lovely antique set measures 18" tall by 11" wide and features an insulated tilting pitcher, an ornate stand, and a chalice or cup. The insulated pitcher is by Racine Silver Plate Co, and the cup is by Meriden, but the age and aesthetic of both seem to match. The engravings remind me of the carvings on Eastlake furniture. The pitcher has a pharaoh or King Tut on the spout, a dragon on the handle, ornate scenes on the bands, and beautiful engraving on the body. The stemmed cup is very ornate, measures 7" tall, and has the name Hawkins engraved on the side. The set has had a basic cleaning and light polishing and all pieces show plating loss. The hinge is also partially damaged, but still works as it should. In spite of any flaws the piece displays impressively.
