    Description

Fine 18th C Chinese Monogrammed Porcelain Cup W/Saucer Gilding With Cobalt Blue
Up for auction, one fine antique 18th century Chinese porcelain strap handled molded cup and companion saucer both with ornate ribbon draped shield that bears a gilded DL monogram. Both the cup and saucer have extensive cobalt blue and gold gilding designs, the cup with ribbed molding the saucer with molding and scalloped edge. Finely potted and enameled, both are were owned by Dorothy Lunken whose family owned Lunken Airport in Cincinnati Ohio, hence her collecting items with the DL monogram. She died in 2003 at age 83. I had others from her collection but sold them many years ago. As for dating to the 18th century, that was done for me by Elinor Gordon over 20 years ago, long before her death. Their beautiful, authentic and would make a nice addition to a collection of Chinese Export. All as in photos and above condition description. Buyer to pay USPS shipping. Thanks for taking a look.
