Analog Phaser Sound
The Lost Highway is a true-analog phaser. It provides vibrato-esque, phase and ambient tones which are interesting and useful in many musical settings. The sound can be sped up or slowed down with the click of a foot switch, and you can control the rate and depth of each individually. There are also switches to go between 4 and 8 stages, and to alternate between sine and triangular waves.
Natural Controls
Like all Fender pedals, the controls on the Lost Highway are fairly straight-forward and easy to use. The two metallic footswitches allow you to bypass the pedal and change the phase rate from slow to fast. Besides the separate rate and depth for each of those modes, there are global blend and feedback knobs to contort the sound perfectly into the mix. There's also a sensitivity knob which adjusts modulation rate based on how you play. It's really quite amazing technology.
Compact Fender Design and Build
With its sleek metallic housing, the lightly colored Lost Highway Phaser is a bit understated. So is the font, the white logo and the compact design. But, that's classic Fender. This pedal is lightweight and made from anodized aluminum. It also has LED-backlit controls which can be turned on and off with a top-side switch.
