Elkington Victorian Silverplate Cream Jug Pitcher, 1892

Description

Victorian silver plate cream jug, fluted sides, hand engraved below the top rim and above the bottom rim with wiggle work, hand engraved from the bottom wiggle work to the middle of the sides with foliate pattern, marked “ELKINGTON & Co” on the bottom in the form used from 1886-1911 and with date mark “G” corresponding to 1892, measures approximately 5 inches at the top of handle x 4 3/4 inches wide from tip of spout to far end of handle, excellent estate condition, would benefit from gentle polishing.
