Four Independent Modulation Sections
The foundation of this pedal are its four modulation sections—Mod, Trem, Pan, and Filter. Depth and Feedback knobs allow for intricate adjustments to each section. Mod features EHX vibrato, flanger, chorus, and phaser effects. Trem modulates the volume of your signal. Pan modulates between left and right stereo channels, or in mono, adds another tremolo section with inverted wave shapes. Lastly, the Filter option creates a modulated low-pass, high-pass and band-pass filter. In addition, each section offers four LFO shape selections: rising sawtooth, triangle, falling sawtooth or wave square which affect the modulation and provide advanced artistic control.
Flexible Tempo Control
This pedal affords nearly limitless polyrhythmic possibilities. Its Tempo component gives you nine note-length choices for each of the four modulation sections. You can select them independently in increments, from whole notes to 16th notes, or bypass any of the sections.  The BPM of the Mod Rex is adjustable with a knob, footswitch or an expression into its EXP input. It can also be synced to an external device MIDI clock or external pulse.
High-Tech Midi Options
The pedal’s MIDI application enables you to sync devices, as well as automate functions and changes so they occur when you want them to. The Mod Rex allows MIDI to enable it to tempo sync the modulation rate with an external device, to memorize presets via MIDI Program Change messages, and to control any parameter on the Mod Rex via Control Change messages.
