Now, how does this compare with the famous CE-2? Well the Boss CE-2 is a fairly subtle pedal; It has chewy, midrange-y quality that tends to sound good with the right distortion pedal (if you don't outright hate the distorted chorus sound). The max Speed of the CE-2 is pretty slow. Without some kind of mod (Keeley, for example), you can't do a Leslie imitation with it. My CE-2 is a stock, japanese silver screw model. I've never had a chance to play a modded CE-2, but have been tempted to get mine modded for more speed to better compete with DOD.
The DOD FX65 is clearer and more "full range" than the CE-2. It doesn't have the Boss's mid bump. It's also a stereo chorus, and includes a Delay Time knob to thicken the Chorusing effect..
