    Description

Rare Model 1851 Minie Rifle Socket Bayonet With Scabbard And Frog unit marked. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. It's marked heighington and lawrence. It's 21 inches long. The muzzle is 1.2 inches to the shank. That socket is 3 inches. It may have seen the crimean war then the civil war. These rifles and bayonets were sold to the confederacy. I wish I had the provenance on this one. It also looks like it's marked crown f 47 and crown b 45. They seem partially scrubbed. There is also no royal proof mark which there should be. It was probably scrubbed for export. The frog has numerous unit marks. The scabbard is tightly stitched. The base of the scabbard is a little loose. Look this rifle and bayonet up to see it's saga. This is a very rare piece for a very rare rifle.
