    Description

CIVIL WAR ERA Model 1840 Musicians Sword w/ Repurposed Blade ( CSA Bowie ?). Also used by other NCO's and any one that found one and needed a little extra help on the battlefields . This one is a C. Roby and is dated 1865 and the blade has been altered down to 15 3/8"s L and is 3/4"s to 7/8"s  wide and is 5/16"s thick at the ricasso . I can not tell if the blade was broken and it was repurposed or just cut down to use as a Bowie knife would be used in close quarters combat .It has a good bit of pitting throughout it's length but is a very strong and solid piece . It has a leather blade washer and is ready to go as a collection add on or re enacting piece if you do that as well .  I sell to the lower 48 states and this is an as is sale with no returns - so be sure before you buy . Shipping will be around .00 depending on where you live and by USPS Priority Mail and insured as required . Thank you for looking and if you have any questions just ask . Best Regards.
