    Description

    This auction is for a rare original 1861 to 1865 antique Civil War Confederate States of America soldier dagger knife fighting weapon, marked: J.C. HUNTER - MISSOURI - C.S.A. - This double edge fighting knife has a tight blade guard, smooth bone, and brass handle, and an encapsulated full tang carbon steel blade. The blade shows pitting, the brass pommel cap has been bumped off center a bit but is still tight, the blade is not perfectly straight, there is a tight hairline on the bone but overall this is a very good example of a historical Confederate fighting knife with an approx. age of 155 to 160 years old. Please zoom in on all pictures for details. This knife measures 12" with a 7 3/4" blade and it weighs 4.8 oz.
