Boss CE-2 Chorus Guitar Effect Pedal - (Black Label 1981)

Description

Up for sale is a rare Boss CE-2 made in Japan in April 1981.
These Black Label versions are the versions you want to get. Most desirable between all the models of the CE-2.
Apparently it's one of the most sought after Boss pedals on the used market.
Roland says that they stopped marketing the CE-2 November 1982. The pedal was however still produced and sold at least out until 1990. The label changed from black to green 1984. The CE-2 was produced in Japan up until 1988 when production moved to Taiwan.
The font used on the “Chorus” label is wider on some versions. This results in the C in CE-2 to be located under the r in Chorus on the earliest models while it later ended up under the u.

Overall good condition - small scratch on front, three small holes in base rubber (pedal board fixings) and small chip in depth knob (please see photos) .
This CE-2 comes complete with the original box which is also very rare.
Amazing sounds, and a collectors item.
