In 1976, before the release of the Compact Series, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was released as the world's first "chorus pedal" and the first BOSS effect pedal. The CE-1 is one of the most popular analog stereo chorus units of all time.
Two footswitches
・Left switch
→turns the effect on and off, and
・Right switch
→The right switch is for switching between chorus and vibrato.
The lamp on the left is not lit by ON/OFF, but by the input signal.
The left lamp will stay lit when excessive input such as fuzz is applied, but it will not break due to excessive input.
The right lamp is always on (no blinking) when the effect is off, and blinks according to the effect speed of each effect when the effect is on.
・About the chorus/vibrato section

Vibrato
→The chorus/vibrato section can be adjusted with the rate and depth knobs.
The op-amp at the heart of the chorus/vibrato section is an MN3002 BBD device made by Matsushita, which is hard to find nowadays.
・About the CE-1 preamplifier
The CE-1 has a preamp effect just by plugging it in, and the "Level" knob is effective even when the effect is off.
This unit is for 100V. Please let me know your country and outlet type when you purchase, and I will add a step-down transformer to it for free.
