Antique E G Webster & Bro NY Quadruple Plate Hard White Metal Bride's Basket

Description

For your consideration is a Victorian Era Brides Basket Frame aka the frame to hold a bride's bowl. This one is unusual in that the frame was made to hold a hexagonal bowl. It was made by E G Webster & Bro. of New York. The basket weighs a pound and one half and is made very well with no bends or breaks. There is no wear through in the "Quadruple Plate" either. The bowl frame is 6 1/4 inches across perpendicularly and 7 inches across diagonally. The bowl would need to be just a bit less to fit properly. The widest part of the handle is 10 1/8 inches and it is 12 inches tall overall. It is in great condition overall and of course quite rare.
