Very good condition original antique American fraternal sword that has a “gothic letter inside shield” proof mark on the right ricasso. 27 ½” blade has original bright finish with a little gray and has original leather washer at the base. Brass guard and pommel have nice looking patina. Pommel has an eagle perching on a knight’s helmet. Bone grip has attractive color and a few minor hairlines. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has brown patina and no dents. Nice sword for your collection.
