UP FOR AUCTION IS AN ANTIQUE DOUBLE WALLED PITCHER MADE BY REED & BARTON IN THE 1800S. THE PITCHER APPEARS TO BE SILVER PLATED. IT IS ABOUT 12 INCHES TALL, WITH A SWAN ON TOP. IT IS ETCHED WITH LEAVES AROUND THE SIDES. HEAVY DUTY, AND ALSO JUST PLAIN HEAVY. ON THE BOTTOM, IT IS MARKED: STIMPSON'S PATENT DOUBLE WALL PITCHER~APRIL 17, 1854~NO 12440~MADE BY REED & BARTON~TAUNTON MASS. A GOOD BIT OF THE PLATE HAS WORN OFF. THERE IS A COUPLE OF CRACKS ON THE LID, AND A FEW DENTS ON THE SIDES. I TRIED TO SHOW THIS DAMAGE IN THE PICTURES. THERE AREALSO 2 SMALL HOLES DRILLED IN THE BOTTOM. I DO NOT KNOW IF THEY ARE ORIGINAL OR NOT. OVERALL, ESPECIALLY FOR ITS AGE, I WOULD SAY IT APPEARS TO BE IN GOOD SOLID CONDITION. THESE PITCHERS APPRAISE FOR UP TO 0, DEPENDING ON CONDITION, AND WHEN YOU CAN FIND THEM. ULTRA RARE AND ULTRA AWESOME. SHIPPING INCLUDES INSURANCE. THANKS FOR LOOKING.
