    th

    France
on June 12 and attacked the Germans in the Valognes area south of
    Cherbourg
.  They entered the city on June 25

    Belgium

    Meurthe
    Rivers
.  The division was attacking the Siegfried Line at Wissembourg when the
    Battle
of the Bulge started.  They were pulled back to the Maginot Line where they fought off a fierce attack made by German Armor at Rittershoffen.  The 315
    th
Regiment held off two German Divisions by itself.  The division was then attached to the Ninth Army and it struck across the
    Rhine
    River
as part of Operation Grenade.  The 79

    th
    occupied
    Bavaria
    , the Sudatenland, and
    Dortmund
    after the war.

I try not to post items with excessive wear because I want you to get good quality items. I try to post good photos of each item but they get shrunk down when they appear in the listing. If you have any questions about condition, please ask me. I can email you the original photo and can make larger scans if you give me enough time. Please ask. I will be happy to give you as much information as I can about an item so that you can make an informed decision about the item before bidding.
