For sale is this antique crystal claret jug with a silver plate on copper top and handle.  It is very ornate and in overall good condition.  In the past someone tried to polish and left quite a bit of polish in the ornate crevices.  This can be cleaned off with a little effort.  The inside bottom is rather clean but may have a few minor water markings. Jug has a hinged lid with a lion mounted on the top.  Spout is in the form of a head that looks like a pirate. I could find NO maker's marking on the piece.  I assume it is English and from the 1920's.  It measures 12 1/2" tall and about 5 1/2" wide.  The bottom of the handle is not attached to the glass bowl of the jug.  It is a heavy piece weighing around 5 pounds.  Selling as is and as described so look at all of the pictures and ask any
