This auction is for a high quality very rare 1850's to 1860's antique fighting knife made for the California Gold Rush and also used by Confederate Civil War Soldiers, made by WILL & FINCK, marked with their exclusive mark during this era: S.F. CAL. - This classic fighting knife has a hardwood handle with 7 brass pins, tight brass blade guard, and a full edge and partial false back edge drop point encapsulated full tang carbon steel blade. This very well made knife has stood the test of time and shows some patina blemishes, overall still in very good+ or better condition considering the approx. 160 years of age. Please zoom in on all pictures for details. This knife measures 11 1/4" with a 7" blade and it weighs 10. 8 oz.
